Mature know-how

Nidegro always have been a family company and it will always be a family company, since 1974 we are trading around the world in several soft commodities, first from the North of Holland in a place called Enkhuizen but since the eighties from the port of the world; Rotterdam.

In all these years we also did many nice projects, one of it was on the beautiful island of Sri Lanka where we build up a spice factory in 2013, called Joint Agri Products Ceylon (Pvt) Ltd). Joint Agri Products became a fully grown mature company and was strong enough to walk on their own feet and our partner over there is continuing the European way of processing spices with a bit of Sri Lankan flavour.

As one of the few traders in Europe we still have our own warehouse in Rotterdam where we store and also clean some of our products. The warehouse is a bonded customs warehouse, so we can store our goods also in transit (AEO certified). We do not only store our own products, a few of our partners like to store or clean/re-pack their goods in our warehouse as well. Furthermore we also make use of local storage partners in the Netherlands, Belgium or Germany. We take title to the inventories and we have our own logistics department that handles all shipments, road transport and customs formalities, also with the help of our longlasting relationship with local customs forwarders.

Specific knowledge of commodities has increased sharply over the years through contact with and the processing of many different products. The growth of this product know-how has been accompanied by a parallel growth in the diversity of the product range; Nidegro nowadays enjoys an excellent reputation as a specialised supplier of spices, coffee, cocoa products, tea, pulses, seeds, nuts and dried fruit and some FMCG.
